Rwanda: still left to tell

If you put the genocide in a few words, it was hatred that has destroyed our country, that has killed the million.

And it is love that will construct our country, and is constructing it. And it is love that will unite all of us in the world. And it starts with each one of us, daily, every second of the day, to choose to love; to choose to see another as a human being like you, and to fight our impulses that tend to say, They’re different. They are far away. They are shorter. They are taller…

We are all created in God’s image.

  1. Isn't this the same woman who hid in the pastor's bathroom for like 90 days straight during the genocide? I read about her in The Press recently when she spoke at Calvin.

  2. Yes -- the quote is from her speech at Calvin in January. I've linked her website to her name. Her books look really good.
